Doula support refers to face-to-face support either at your birth location or in your home during your postpartum period.
Birth Support
My goal is to ensure that every person has an empowered birth experience, where they feel informed and supported. Whether you are planning a medicated or non-medicated, hospital, birth center, or home birth, vaginal delivery or cesarean.. I am here to support you. No matter your decisions, I will respect you by providing non-judgmental support through this process. I will provide you (and your birth partner) continuous emotional and physical comfort during labor, while helping you advocate for your decisions and desired birth plan. Birth support begins with 1-2 prenatal visits to get acquainted and ensure that I understand what kind of support you need. I will be present with you during active labor and during the birth of your baby. This support continues through the Golden Hour and 1-2 hours after birth. This service includes:
+1-2 prenatal visits (1-2 hours each). We review the kind of support you will need
+ Create or review your birth plan
+ Physical and emotional comfort measures during labor
+ Support for your birth partner, and assistance in helping them help you
+ Taking photos during labor or after baby’s arrival (if desired)
+ Assistance with your initial breastfeeding session
+ Access to my extensive resources such as childbirth education, medical providers, maternity and birth photographers, chiropractors, etc.

Postpartum Support
I know that you are going to be amazing at taking care of your new baby. There is no one better equipped to take care of them and love them, than YOU. My job is to make sure that you are also taken care of. The first 6 weeks after your little one has arrived can sometimes be challenging. My job as a postpartum doula is to help take care of you at home in the days and weeks after giving birth. I will be there to support you in the midst of your recovery as you navigate those first few days and weeks. My hope is to encourage you, while tending to your family’s unique needs to bring peace to your home during this beautiful time. This service includes:
+ Diaper changing
+ Lactation support
+ Light household duties
+ Discussing feelings related to your birth experience
+ Education & resources for your postpartum needs
+ Demonstrating newborn care, such as swaddling, bathing, dressing, etc.
+ Infant feeding support (breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding)
+ Supporting older children during their adjustment
+ Adjusting to your partner’s return to work
+ Any other support you need or want during this time
